Essyntia

Child Safety Standards

Last updated: October 20, 2026

Essyntia strictly prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Essyntia is a platform exclusively for people aged 18 and over.

1. What is prohibited

Anywhere on Essyntia (posts, comments, profiles, groups, messages, images, videos and links) the following is prohibited:

  • Any material that depicts or represents the sexual abuse or exploitation of minors, including AI-generated or altered content
  • Sexualising minors in any way
  • Contacting minors for sexual purposes (grooming), sextortion or trafficking
  • Sharing links or directions to obtain such material

2. Minimum age

Only people aged 18 or over may use Essyntia. We ask for a date of birth and an adult confirmation at sign-up and onboarding (including with Google), and database access is restricted to accounts that completed it. If we find that an account belongs to a minor, we restrict and delete it.

3. How to report

Use “Report” in the “···” menu of any post, comment, profile or group and choose the “Underage safety” category. Direct messages are end-to-end encrypted and we cannot read them: if you receive something like this in a message, report the sender's profile, block them and write to the designated contact. Do not forward or save the material. Underage-safety reports get the highest priority and alert the team immediately.

4. What we do

An authorized person on the team assesses every case. While the report is open, the content can be hidden at once (its images stop being publicly reachable) and nobody can destroy it: if the author tries to delete it, it is only hidden, and the account cannot be deleted until the review ends. When we confirm a case, we remove the content and its files, suspend or close the accounts involved and keep, with restricted access, only the information needed as evidence. We assess and make the reports required by applicable law to the competent authorities and, where applicable, to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). We do not currently scan images or videos automatically: detection relies on reports and, when enabled, on automated review of text, which immediately hides suspected text and alerts the team so a person reviews it.

5. Compliance and designated contact

Essyntia complies with applicable child-safety laws. Our designated contact for child-safety matters, legal reports and appeals is legal@essyntia.com. You can also report any case in the app with the “Underage safety” category.
